So nearly an all-Yorkshire Final in the BCGBA Ladies Pairs KO in Leyland on Sunday only for both our pairs to fall at the penultimate stage. Huddersfield's experienced pair of Linda Gledhill and Lorraine Hirst won their opening rounds to 5, 6 and then 10 before failing in their semi-final tie.
Similar for the Whitkirk BC bowling sisters, Amy and Emma Tobin, and they were never tested until losing their semi-final after recording the competition's two biggest wins of the day winning to 2, 1 and then 13. All of the four Yorkshire bowlers are in the County team to play Wales in the semi-finals of the BCGBA Ladies Senior County Championship this coming Sunday.
