Andy Harper is the 2023 Jack Burgin (MUGS) Trophy Winner after beating Jamie Hulley (Brighouse Sports) in the Final. This competition is only open to bowlers that have never won an open competition and Lockwood Con veteran Andy ensured that he wont be eligible to play in it again next year.
It didn't look like that would be the outcome when Jamie led 16-8 but 3/1 chance Andy being a home bowler knows this green very well and found a mark to get him back into the match.
The win concluded a good weekend for Andy as he won the club's President's Cup competition on the Saturday as well.
Well done also to Lockwood Con for stepping in to host and organise the competition this year after it looked to be a casualty of the lack of a competition organiser.
