We have previously informed you of the three teams that cannot field teams after Christmas and of the two replacements already found in Skel Windmill B and Brockholes E. I am pleased to let you know that Holmfirth BC have stepped in to field a B team to complete the 8-team Division 10 programme for the rest of the season.
The full membership of all the Division 10 teams for next season has always been dependent on a new host club coming forward to take on the full season-long fixture programme. I expect to be making an announcement about that in the New Year and it looks like more good news for the Division 10 teams. The three teams that were unable to commit to the invitation to complete the Division 10 fixtures after Christmas head the queue of new team applications for a new Division 11 we hope to introduce for the 2026-27 season. Again we are looking for a new host club to take on that role and anyone interested or seeking additional information should contact Jeff Jacklin, the League Secretary.
Following on from the good news about the future of the new Division 10 that Netherton Con are taking over as the new host club with effect from Monday 5 January for the complete second half of the season. On top of that they have also offered to take on the full programme of fixtures that were postponed at Lindley Lib last Monday (1 December). Lindley Lib indicated from the outside that they would be unable to accommodate any rearranged postponed fixtures. We are very grateful for the idea and support from Lindley Lib for a half-season competition in the first place. Those postponed fixtures will now be played at Netherton Con on Monday 15 December at the usual start time of 11.00am.
Bowlsnet has been updated to include the rearranged fixtures.
