Winter League
Preview of Monday's fixtures in Divisions 3 & 4

The Division 4 season at Lindley Lib starts this week and includes one team new to the Winter League. New Mill B begin their season with a match against Milnsbridge C who were promoted as Division 5 runners-up from last season. The 2022-23 Division 5 Champions were Thorpe Green C although it was only a better 'Aggregate For' total that clinched the title for them. They begin the season with a match against Springwood B who came down from Division 3 as the bottom team last season.
Lindley Lib C may be a new name in the League but they are not new to the Winter League as they have been renamed from Marsh Lib of last season. Last season they finished in 4th place just one place ahead of Kirkheaton C&BC who they meet on the opening day of the new Division 4 season. Netherton Con A and Lowerhouses B finished last season in mid-table of Division 4 and will be looking to feature more towards the higher sphere this time around. The Netherton Con team has been shuffled around with their B team for the coming season and could prove to be a stronger outfit this time around.
In Division 3 the host team. Primrose Hill Lib are still looking for their first points of the season and will do well to complete that this week as they take on Hanging Heaton who despite last week's opening defeat to Marsh United remain a strong contender for promotion. Milnsbridge B currently sit at the top of the early table with a maximum 16 points from their two matches. They will be aiming to extend that sequence when they take on Dalton this Monday who in turn will be hoping to build on their reputation as a team that regularly beats the top teams in their division.
Two unbeaten team records go head-to-head when Marsh United take on Rastrick and when Paddock I&C meet Thorpe Green B there are two teams looking for their first wins of the season.
