Preview of matches scheduled for Monday 25 October.
Two sets of Monday fixtures for the casual spectator to mull over and if the sun shines then a visit isn't out of the question. Certainly we don't want the terrible conditions endured last Wednesday when the heavens opened and the Division 2 fixture programme at Springwood had to be abandoned after an hour's play with the flooded green a safety hazard to bowlers.
The Division 1 die-hards completed their matches at Milnsbridge at the same time but the Division 2 matches are to be completed this Monday from 12noon at Springwood.
The Division 3 fixture programme continues at Thorpe Green on Monday as normal with four concurrent matches being played from 12noon. Interest at both ends of the early table as the top four play each other as do the bottom four so lots to focus on.
Leaders Rastrick 'B' meet third-placed Huddersfield Recreation Club 'B' with second in the table Thorpe Green 'C' going up against Lowerhouses 'B' who occupy the fourth spot at present. Lindley BC 'B' may be in the bottom four at present but having only played one match and that an 8-0 win means that they are really a top half of the table team in waiting. That will be tested when they take on Brockholes this Monday whilst the bottom two, the 'B' teams from Milnsbridge and Springwood, also meet up with the two sides locked together on 2 points.
