Mick Dyson was a popular member of Almondbury BC and captain of their Huddersfield League team when he passed away on Christmas Day 2020. This new competition is to commemorate Mick's contribution to his club and to raise funds for the Motor Neurone Disease appeal. It has been put together by the Dyson family along with the club and will be staged over Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th which is this coming weekend. As of yesterday, there were still a few places open to complete the 64 bowler competition and all the details are listed below.

There will be four sessions on Saturday at 10.30am, 12.30pm, 2.30pm and 4.30pm with 16 players in each session, win one game and return Sunday for the finals. Spectators will be very welcome on both days and lots for the visitors to get involved in as well as watching some competitive bowling.
