DIVISION 9: TUESDAY PREVIEW

It inceasingly looks like the Division 9 promotion places are earmarked for Greenhead Park and Kirkheaton C&BC C but which one of them will be taking the title home with them as well? Whatever happens this Tuesday will not determine the destination of that trophy but next week could. That is when the two main contenders go head-to-head so neither will want to go into that title decider chasing a deficit. Both teams currently sit on 64 points so wins are key ahead of next week's Championship decider.

Greenhead Park have only lost one match all season and did win the match between the two teams last November. Kirkheaton C&BC C have collected four 8-0 wins this season, twice as many as Greenhead Park have only managed two such scorelines. It is close between them and as I say neither team will want to go into that head-to-head meeting next week needing to catch up. Interesting times and adding the edge to this week's fixture list.

Mirfield C could send Almondbury BC C and Brockholes C through the relegation trapdoor if the register a win this week. Only problem is that they are playing Greenhead Park so may have to wait another week to confirm their status in Division 9 for another season. Kirkheaton C&BC C have to take on Kirkheaton Con C prior to their top of the table clash next week.
