The forecast is for a sunny Tuesday this week which will add to the frustration of a blank week for the teams in Divisions 3, 4 and 5 as they sit the week out but teams in the top two divisions have a full fixture programme to look forward to.

Division 1 leaders Kirkheaton Con 'A' face one of their toughest tests of the season this Tuesday with an away fixture at last year's runners-up Elland C&BC 'A'. It has been a steep learning curve for the Cons side that is testing itself at the top level for the first time in 8 years and to date they have answered all the questions asked of them but to add this result to the previous away win against the Lockwood Con and an unbeaten league record would surely announce their arrival as a serious contender for honours this season.

Any slip up will see Marsh United 'A' and Golcar Lib 'A' both ready to take advantage with the former looking to bounce back from their first defeat of the season when visiting Lindley Lib 'A' this week. Golcar Lib 'A' will be looking to build on their win at Marsh and will expect to pick up the majority of the points as Meltham 'A' come to visit.

Clayton West continue to provide a tough test against whoever comes to visit their green with two wins from two home matches so far and this week they welcome old adversaries Lockwood Con 'A' who will be looking to build on their return to winning ways after a slow start to the season.

Longwood are looking for their first win of the season and will fancy their chances when hosting Cowcliffe who are looking for their first away win of the season. Rastrick are also looking for a first away win of the year to bolster their hopes for a top-three position but will not find Waterloo in a generous mood as they in turn look to move back up the table.

The top three teams in Division 2 all have away matches this week with third-placed Almondbury BC 'A' having the most difficult task when taking on fourth-placed Shepley. Two 7-2 home wins to date for the Shepley outfit including one over the table-toppers Milnsbridge 'A' indicates a formidable opponent who remain very much in the promotion mix.

Holmfirth 'A' suffered their first defeat of the season last week and will be looking for the bounce-back factor to kick-in when leaders Milnsbridge 'A' come to visit. Both teams have Won-4 Lost-1 records to date but there are 6 places between the teams which Hemplow will be looking to reduce this week.

Bradley & Colne take their unbeaten away record to Broad Oak 'A' who have won both of their two previous home fixtures. With just 3 points between the teams but 6 places difference and a chance that those positions could be reversed there is certainly everything to play for. Lowerhouses have the perfect opportunity to fully declare their interest in matters at the top of the table with home advantage over an inconsistent Thongsbridge 'A' side this week. With only 4 points between the nine teams behind the leaders there is a massive block to be sorted out sometime soon and Lowerhouses seem to be one of the teams that expect to be involved to their advantage in any shift in positions.

That leaves the bottom four teams playing each other with Lockwood Con 'B' the only one of those four still looking for their first win of the season and what better opportunity could they ask for than a home fixture against bottom of the table Brockholes 'B'. The Brockholes team will have been heartened after a Bistro win last Thursday and will hope to carry that form into their league business this week. Above the bottom two sit two teams more used to being involved in top half matters rather than floundering among the relegation worriers and one of the two could get a major boost in fortunes when New Mill 'A' welcome Thorpe Green to their Sheffield Road green this week.

There is just a single rearranged fixture in the bottom three divisions and that presents Almondbury BC 'B' with the opportunity to move off the bottom of the Division 4 table. They have home advantage over Elland C&BC 'B' who have the incentive of a move into the top half of the table that would come with a good win.
