Review of results for matches played Friday 13 August
There were four league fixtures played last week, all on Friday the 13th and three of those were in Division 1. Leaders Atkinson Butchers had no problems negotiating past Strait Kutz Hairdressers with 6 winners, four of those to single figures, and a 158-89 aggregate scoreline. Alicia Dawn Photography were pushed all the way by Bolster Moor Farm Shop before inching it home by two points, 136-134, with a 4-4 game score. That should just about see off the Farm Shop's challenge for the runners-up slot with 2 of their 3 remaining fixtures away from home, one of them against Atkinson Butchers. Huddersfield Recreation Club completed a league double over PEG Perego with a 159-115 scoreline but may still finish in the bottom two although with no relegation worries this year they will play in Division 1 for a second year in 2022.
Holmes Dresser made it 8 straight Division 2 wins from 8 matches when seeing off personaliseHR by 148-125 but now we will see what they are all about with two matches against D Haigh & Co and an away game at current leaders Paul's Kitchens. The 137-130 home win over Paul's Kitchens back in June has been their season highlight to date and a repeat of that will be required if they still harbour thoughts of a top-two finish this year.
