Yorkshire to meet Shropshire in decider

Yorkshire Senior Mens County team will play their Shropshire counterparts to determine which of them will progress through to the Semi-Finals of the 2025 competition. This came after an amazingly tight match determined by just one point (411-410) in Shropshire's favour over Derbyshire on Sunday 1 June.

Yorkshire are in Section 4 which is comprised of three teams - Yorkshire, Shropshire and Derbyshire. Yorkshire beat Derbyshire in the opening round of fixtures leaving Derbyshire and Shropshire to go head-to-head for the privilege of meeting the Yorkshire team to finally discover which one of the two surviving teams would progress to the next round.

The Derbyshire v Shropshire tie saw the home teams win their leg by the same 9-3 game score. With Derbyshire winning the aggregate scoreline 236-174 whilst the Shropshire team collected a total of 237 aggregate points against 174 to clinch the tie by just one point by 411-410.

The Yorkshire v Shropshire decider will be staged on Sunday 6 July with the venues to be announced along with the teams, two weeks before the date of the match in accordance with the competition rules.
