Hemplow A continue to set a hot pace at the top of the Division 8 table with a gap of 12 points now ahead of their nearest rivals. That could be extended this week with the teams in 2nd and 3rd places going up against each other. Lockwood Con C are one point ahead of Broad Oak B but when the teams last met in October it was the Broad Oak B team that registered an 8-0 victory. Hemplow have an interesting match when they take on the 2024-25 Division 8 Champions, Golcar C&BC who are still a one-on-one threat despite the 20-point penalty which has served to keep them in the bottom half of the table this term.

Lots of interest at the foot of the table with three teams all on the same 22 points mark and two of them going up against each other this week. Linthwaite Hall B face Meltham B when the result they both want to avoid, a 4-4 draw, is possible even though neither has drawn a match this season to date. However, Cowcliffe C are the form team of that threesome having won 2 of their last 3 matches but they have to play a Mirfield B team in even better form having won 3 of their last 4 fixtures to move 10 points clear of the drop zone.

There is a top versus bottom clash as the Division 9 leaders, Greenhead Park, face a Brockholes C team, which could be bad news if Greenhead Park look to avenge their first defeat of the season by Marsh Lib B last week. In turn the Marsh Lib team could be buoyed by last week's big win which could be bad news for 2nd placed Kirkheaton C&BC C.

Kirkheaton Con C are on their own target mission when playing Almondbury BC C this week when a win would make it three on the trot matching their best run for them from earlier in the season. The Almondbury team are well entrenched in the relegation places along with Brockholes C who won for the first time last week against the Almondbury team but have a more difficult task this week against the table toppers. The teams holding down 5th (Kirkheaton C&BC B) and 6th (Mirfield C) go up against each other and both have only won one of their last 3 fixtures.
