Keith Collins Memorial Day at Moldgreen Con

On Sunday afternoon on a rather quick Moldgreen Con green, 18 bowlers from Huddersfield Rec Club took part in a drawn pairs competition in Memory of Keith Collins, a long time bowler for Huddersfield Rec, who recently passed away.

Keith's daughter, Lynne Watkinson donated a trophy and prize money for the event which was organised by Derek Crawley,  assisted by many club members on the day.

On top of the 18 bowlers a large number of spectators along with Keith's family of children, grandchildren and great grandchildren enjoyed an afternoon of great bowling, fantastic refreshments and a raffle.

The culmination of the afternoon saw a battle between the pairs of Gary Senior/Trevor Atkinson and Lorna Penny/ Lynne Porter, with Gary and Trevor running out 21- 13 winners.
