Veterans League The Preliminary Round of the 2024 Julie Fuller Trophy is on Thursday.
The Julie Fuller Trophy is the one knock-out competition for teams in the 6-Man League and the format is three pairs games. The result is decided by the aggregate score of both teams. In the event of a draw then the team with most wins from the three games is judged the winner. Both teams have a handicap score which is included in the draw below. The opening round of matches are to be played on neutral greens which are also listed below.
Netherton Con are the current holders of the title having beaten Thongsbridge A 61-56 last season and they have to give Skel Windmill B a 10-points start in the opening round match. That was a third title win for the Netherton club over the 21-year history of the competition, only Longwood have won it more times (5). Three teams have already withdrawn from this year's competition which is often the case when matches are arranged for any other than the normal Monday matchday.
