Bowling News
The West Riding team are in touching distance of claiming the Yorkshire Inter-District title after yesterdays round of fixtures left them 50 points clear with our team relegated to third place.
An interesting outcome for the Huddersfield Inter-District team in their penultimate match of the season against Bradford. It ended in a 29-27 win for our representative side with the Away Team clinching the win with a 15-13 success at Littlemoor. That along with the 14-14 drawn outcome at Thongsbridge for the Home Team with just a 5-point difference in the total aggregate.
At the end of that tense affair both teams had been overtaken by Halifax who won 44-12 against Castleford and are Huddersfield's final day opponents with 8 points between the teams. West Riding are mathematically catchable being 50 points ahead with 56 points available in each match but only Halifax can now overtake them but it would take an exceptional result to threaten their title hold.
