Six points separate the top 6 teams in Section 1 and only one of those six has a home fixture this week - Lockwood Con 'A'. Five teams have unbeaten home records in this section, the most of any of the five sections, indicating the strength of home performances so what a wonderful opportunity for Lockwood Con to restart their season which has stagnated after four straight defeats. Golcar Lib 'A' and Cowcliffe hold the top two positions at present and both have only won one away game to date so that lead looks fragile and ready to be tested. Elland C&BC 'A' are 2 points off the top with a game in hand but have to go to Longwood who have won all five of their home matches to date, a daunting task. Waterloo and Clayton West also feature in that top 6 and each has also won only one of their away games this season and it is Waterloo who are at Lockwood Cons this week. The bottom two teams face each other when Thongsbridge 'A' go to Netherton Con 'A' and a win for the home side is imperative if they want to stay in touch with the teams immediately above them and a way out of the relegation places.
Thorpe Green lost their Section 2 100% win record last week when going down at Broad Oak 'A' and will have another stiff test this Tuesday when visiting Lindley BC 'A' who have moved into second place. Leaders Kirkheaton Con 'A' will be looking to extend their 5-match unbeaten away run at Almondbury BC 'A' whilst at the other end of the table bottom team Paddock I&C host third from bottom Kirkheaton C&BC 'A' and could possibly lift themselves out of the drop-zone with a big home win.
In Section 3 the top two teams travel to play the bottom two with the outcomes meaningful to more than the four involved teams. Leaders Holmfirth 'A' are at Outlane and bottom side Meltham 'B', looking to avoid a second consecutive relegation, host Lowerhouses.
Section 4 leaders Denby Dale now hold the League's only unbeaten record, 7 wins out of 7, and they have a home game against mid-table Milnsbridge 'B' and they will not be losing top spot this week as 2nd placed Lindley BC 'B' are without a match and 3rd placed Thongsbridge 'B' are 12 points behind them. Bottom team Kirkheaton Con 'B' are the only team still looking for their first win of the season and they will try for the 7th time when lowly Netherton Con 'B' come to visit.
Interesting set of fixtures in Section 5 as the top two meet as do the bottom two. Leaders Marsh Lib will be looking to protect their three-point lead over, and at, the Rugby Club and
Broad Oak 'B' welcome David Brown Sports aiming to extend their 4 point advantage.
