Club News

The second project undertaken at Holmfirth BC during the close season was to build an exterior viewing shelter. Our clubhouse is quite small with limited visibility of the green and with little other outside shelter it made it difficult to spectate in inclement weather.

This was made more difficult during the pandemic with social distancing requirements and so having a little more space will prove really useful for spectators and visitors in future.

We received grand support from the Sport England Return to Play fund and from Kirklees ward councillors fund, which together with club funds covered the costs.

Building works were undertaken by NDAP Construction Ltd with finishing touches, bench seating and painting to be completed by the grounds team. Another great team effort by the fundraisers on the committee and everyone else involved. With thanks to everyone who made it happen.
