Review of the 10-Man League matches in Divisions 3,4 & 5 played on Tuesday 29 April

It is a long time since any Hemplow team sat in topspot in any division but that is where their A side are in the latest Division 3 table after beating Springwood 7-2 on Tuesday. They have a one-point lead over Brockholes A who collected a 6-3 home win over Paddock I&C.
Holmfirth A, Almondbury Lib and Lindley Lib all won their respective fixtures to feature in the top five in the division. Slaithwaite lost the match featuring the bottom two teams when they went down 3-6 to Linthwaite Hall. They haven't quite dropped to the foot of the table as a 337-330 Aggregate For total advantage means that Thorpe Green occupy the bottom spot after being on the wrong end of the 2-7 scoreline against Hemplow A.

The leading five teams in Division 4 all won their Tuesday fixtures so no change in the running order although the top three teams have opened up a 7 points gap over the chasing pack. Huddersfield RUBC continue to set the pace and an 8-1 home win over promoted David Brown Sports enables them to retain their one point lead over Marsh United B who beat Thongsbridge B by the same scoreline. That sent the Thongsbridge side to the bottom of the table but with only 6 points separating the bottom 9 teams it is fairly meaningless at this stage of the season.
Skel Windmill stay third after a good 7-2 away win at Ravensknowle Park who stay 5th despite that setback. Kirkheaton C&BC A retain 4th place despite losing 4-5 away at Meltham B who were winning for the first time this season. Netherton Con B also collected their first win when beating Primrose Hill Lib 7-2 and climb off the bottom to 8th place as a result.

Kirkheaton Con B lost the battle of the top two Division 5 teams when going down at home to Lindley BC B by 5-4 with the 115-114 aggregate scores key in finalising the result. The closeness of the scoreline meant that both teams lost their top two positions being overtaken by Dalton who jump four places to topspot after a whitewash 9-0 home win over Brockholes B who drop to the foot of the table. An 8-1 home win for Greenhead Park over Marsh Lib B also saw the victors moving up the table to 2nd place and overtaking the previous top two teams.
Hemplow B made it a good double for the club as they were the only winners in the bottom half of the table and a 6-3 away win at Kirkheaton C&BC B saw them climb 4 places to 7th. That left the Kirkheaton C&BC team as one of two teams still looking for their first win of the season as are Holmfirth B who went down 2-7 at Almondbury BC B.
