There were three 8-0 scorelines from the four Division 3 matches played on Monday and it will be no surprise to regular readers that two of those results featured Marsh United and Hanging Heaton. With Milnsbridge A on a bye week it gave Hanging Heaton the opening to take second place after beating Rastrick and taking a 2-points lead over Milnsbridge A from the same number of matches played.

They both lag behind Marsh United who whitewashed Paddock I&C and now have a 14-points lead at the top having played a match more than their closest rivals. The third 8-0 scoreline of the day was a bit of a surprise as Thorpe Green B beat Dalton and now sit 3 points behind their 4th-placed rivals with a match in hand. That was a first 8-0 win of the season for Thorpe Green and a first 0-8 defeat for Dalton.

The other match in the Division saw Primrose Hill Lib suffer their third consecutive 2-6 defeat this time at the hands of Lindley Lib B.

A four-match winning run to open the season sees New Mill B begin life in Division 4 in the best possible manner as they continue to set the pace at the top of the table. It was a big test against Netherton Con A which they overcame in style winning by 6-2. However, Thorpe Green C remain 4 points behind the leaders after recording the same 6-2 scoreline win, this time over the previously unbeaten Lindley Lib C team.

Two teams clocked up their first wins of the season as Lowerhouses B and Springwood B both recorded 6-2 wins against Kirkheaton C&BC and Almondbury BC A respectively. That outcome condemned the Almondbury outfit to bottom place and the last team in the division still awaiting their first victory.
