First home for the Founders' Cup

Winter League

Last Wednesday was the final day of the season for all the Division 1 teams with Champions Lower Hopton being presented with the Founders' Cup before the start of play and seen below showing off their trophy. Congratulations to them and they were clear and worthy winners of the inaugural season of the Winter League.

The funding to purchase four trophies for the Winter League came through an appeal last year grandly supported by individual bowlers. All four trophies have the word Founders in their title and the most important one of them all is The Founders' Cup which is awarded to the Division 1 Champions on a perpetual basis.
