The Julie Fuller Semi-Finals scheduled for Thursday 25 June have been altered due to the hot weather. The Slaithwaite v Lindley Lib A match will still be played tomorrow (25 June) but with a 10.30am start time to avoid the hottest of the expected heatwave. The other semi-final between Clayton West and Holmfirth B will now be played on Thursday 2 July starting at 1.30pm.

For a second successive season the Clayton West A team are in the semi-finals of the Julie Fuller Trophy. Last year they failed to reach the Final after losing 63-60 to Broad Oak who went on to win the trophy and completed a double when lifting the Division 2 title as well. This year their semi-final opponent is Division 4 team Holmfirth B playing at Linthwaite Hall and they are the only non-Division 1 team left in the competition and have a 13-point handicap start over their opponents. As the match format is three-pairs with the aggregate scores determining the winners, that means that the Clayton West team need to win all three games by an average of 21-16 to secure a place in the final.
The other half of the draw features two Division 1 teams as Slaithwaite and Lindley Lib A go up against each other. All three Division 1 teams have won this competition once before, Clayton West being the most recent in 2022. Slaithwaite took home the trophy in 2021 and Lindley Lib A claimed it for the only time in 2018. The two winners from this year's semi-finals will become part of the double-header Finals Day sandwiched between the semi-finals and final of the Over-80's KO which will all be played at Waterloo on 16 July.
