Review of all the Monday 6-Man League results

We labelled this match as a possible last chance for Thongsbridge A to move closer to three teams just above the Division 1 relegation places and they failed to take that opportunity. A 1-6 defeat at Shepley A enabled the home team to be the main benefactor of the day as that moved them up three places to 7th. However the one point that the Thongsbridge team did collect allowed them to climb up one place but still in the relegation places.
That was because Skel Windmill A lost 0-7 away at Waterloo who made that three wins on the bounce and crept one point nearer to the top three teams who all won their Monday matches 6-1. So no change in the running order or points gaps at all. Slaithwaite won the meeting of the two mid-table teams with a 5-2 away win at Golcar C&BC.

The Division 2 leaders, New Mill A, beat strugglers Milnsbridge B by 7-0 to extend their lead at the top as second-placed Brockholes A lost 2-5 away at Golcar Lib A. With 5-2 wins for Holmfirth A and Lockwood Con things look even better for the leaders as we approach the halfway point of the season.
Denby Dale were on the wrong end of that Lockwood Con win to make that six consecutive defeats as they are in freefall down the table. Longwood moved up two places to 8th after a good 5-2 away win at bottom team Brockholes B and they were the only winners in the bottom four.

The Division 3 leaders, Thongsbridge B, lost for the first time this season in a surprise 3-4 home defeat at the hands of Golcar Lib B who moved up two places as a result. That was the League's final 100% win record gone out of the window although their 8-points lead at the top remains intact as second-placed Hemplow A also lost 3-4 when playing away at Broad Oak B with a 90-90 aggregate tie being responsible for that split.
A 7-0 home win for third-placed Crosland Moor over bottom-of-the-table Marsh Lib B, revived their promotion hopes whilst Clayton West aren't out of the reckoning either after a 6-1 home win over Greenhead Park. Primrose Hill Lib were the only bottom four team to win this week when they registered an excellent 6-1 away win at fellow strugglers, Elland C&BC.

All change at the top of the Division 4 table as Meltham moved up a place to second after a 7-0 home demolition of the leaders New Mill B who drop to third place. Netherton Con B are the new table-toppers after a 6-1 home win over Marsh United B, giving them a 4-points lead over the chasing pack of three who have all played a game more than the leaders.
Brockholes D had an overdue but deserved first win of the season when clocking up a 6-1 home win over fellow bottom two opponents Shepley B with just one point separating them now. Brockholes C eased themselves away from the bottom two after a very creditable 5-2 away success at Skel Windmill B and moving into a group of five teams only separated by three points.
