Longwood took a 4-point chunk out of Lowerhouses' lead at the top of the Division 1 table to narrow that lead down to just 4-points with three matches left to play. They had a good 7-2 away win at Golcar Lib A whilst Lowerhouses went down 3-6 to Clayton West. Both teams have still to play two of the three teams immediately behind them in the table and both have to play third-placed Kirkheaton Con A who squeezed past their home match with Marsh United by 5-4.

A 2-7 home defeat for Waterloo to Lindley Lib A means that their relegation could be confirmed next week as they sit 21 points from safety with three matches still to be played. Meltham are fighting a strong rear-guard action to stay in the top Division but the odds appear to be stacked against them with a 5-4 home win over Rastrick this week not enough to make any impression on the 8-points gap to safety.

An 8-1 away win at Broad Oak A seals promotion for Elland WMC from Division 2 with 3 matches still to be played. That result also extended their lead over their Elland C&BC neighbours to 13 points which maybe the foundation for next weeks fixture when they could add the Division 2 title to their history. The Elland C&BC side still need at least another week to acquire sufficient points to ensure their promotion which was aided by Shepley's 2-7 away defeat at Almondbury BC A.

New Mill A moved out of the relegation places by beating Netherton Con A 7-2 who drop into that spot below the dreaded red line. Denby Dale remained above that threshold with a 7-2 home win over Lindley BC A but who goes down with a seemingly doomed Golcar Lib B remains very much up in the air.
