Elland C&BC 'A' clocked up a second consecutive 8-1 win to set a blistering early pace at the top of Section 1 with Lindley Lib 'A' being the victims this week. Clayton West recovered from last week's mauling at the hands of the leaders to register their own 8-1 victory this week when overwhelming Thongsbridge 'A' on their own green. Marsh United 'A' also made it consecutive opening wins when beating Netherton Con 'A' 6-3 but that still leaves them 4 points behind the leaders. Lockwood Con 'A' opened the delayed defence of their title with a 7-2 home success over Longwood. Home wins also for Golcar Lib 'A', Waterloo and Rastrick which saw them all move into a mid-table group of 6 teams all on 9 points.

Lindley BC 'A' retain their lead at the top of Section 2 despite losing 4-5 at Kirkheaton Cons 'A' where a 121-121 aggregate draw brightened up the rain-affected day. Broad Oak 'A' moved level at the top when disposing of visitors New Mill 'A' 6-3. Bradley & Colne won the game score 4-3 at Paddock I&C but lost the aggregate by 6 to lose out overall 4-5 whilst Thorpe Green made it 2 wins from 2 matches when winning 6-3 at Brockholes 'A' to move into the top 5 where teams are separated by 3 points at present. Almondbury BC 'A' and Lockwood Con 'B' both recorded their first wins of the season to contribute to this the tightest of sections so far with 10 points between top and bottom of this 14-team Section.

The top two in Division 3 both suffered 4-5
defeats this week and Golcar Lib were well poised to take full advantage after a 6-3 away win at Marsh United enabled them to overtake both to go clear at the top. Previous leaders Skel Windmill lost at home to improving Slaithwaite who moved into 5th position just one place behind Brockholes B who had a good win at Springwood. Holmfirth A being deposed of 2nd place after a 4-5 loss at Lowerhouses.
This report was compiled with the Almondbury Lib v Meltham B result outstanding.
Four of the 5 fixtures in Section 4 were won by the home team including Lindley BC 'B' who beat the team they won promotion behind last time out, Kirkheaton Con 'B', by 8-1 to go to the head of the table. Netherton Con 'B' were the only away winners in this section this week and that 6-3 scoreline over Milnsbridge 'B' was sufficient to put them into 2nd place in the table. The other home wins came for Huddersfield Recreation, Denby Dale and Primrose Hill Lib which was good enough to put them into 3rd, 4th and 5th places respectively.

Only 2 away wins in Section 5 but they preserved the only 2 unbeaten records and put Kirkheaton C&BC 'B' and the Rugby Club into pole positions in the latest league table. Home wins and first wins of the season for Holmfirth 'B', New Mill 'B' and Dalton completed the picture leaving David Brown Sports and Broad Oak 'B' with matching 4 point tallies and side-by-side at the foot of the table.
