Review of the results from the matches played in Divisions 3&5 on Wednesday 19 November

Slaithwaite won the clash of the top two Division 3 teams that wasn't really a top two clash when beating Denby Dale 6-2 as the teams retained 1st and 4th places respectively. Lindley Lib B swapped places with Almondbury BC B after beating them 2-6 and that was a first defeat for the Almondbury team as their great start to the season stuttered for a second week after a 4-4 draw last week halted their 4-match winning start to the season.
A first win of the season for Lockwood Con A lifted them off the foot of the table and out of the relegation places after seeing off Lindley BC B 8-0 who take their place at the bottom of the table. Springwood A take the second relegation place after losing 2-6 to Thorpe Green C who move into the top half of the table as a result.

Bit of a Division 5 collectors item this week as the top two teams in the table both lost their 100% win records but hang on to their lofty positions. On a day of surprise results Jackson Bridge were the big benefactor as they drew 4-4 with the leaders Mirfield A to put themselves firmly in the promotion picture. However the Mirfield team remain in first place as their neighbours and prime challengers, Mirfield Old Bank lost for the first time this season going down 2-6 to Kirkheaton C&BC A who move up one position as a result from 6th to 5th slot.
There was a second drawn match in the same division, as Milnsbridge C and Dalton shared the spoils and neither could add to their single victory record of this season, But it was very close as Dalton just edged the aggregate score 50-49 to claim the two bonus points. Bottom of the table Thorpe Green B claimed a first win of the season when beating Paddock I&C 6-2 but remain at the foot of the table joined in the relegation places by the Paddock side dropping from fifth position.
