Longwood cling on to top spot in the Division 1 table after a cliff-hanger of a result away to bottom team Waterloo. A 5-4 win as a result of a 124-123 aggregate scoreline saw the leader's two-points lead halved after Tuesday's results. After clocking up their first win of the season away last week the Waterloo team are clearly on the up and came close to recording their first home win of the season and that may not be long in the coming based on their last two results. Longwood have the comfort of knowing that they remain as the top team for now as Lowerhouses snatched a 6-3 away win at Cowcliffe and creep one point nearer to the leaders.

Lowerhouses were the only top five team to win their Tuesday fixtures this week as third-placed Rastrick went down 3-6 at Kirkheaton Con A whilst Golcar Lib A lost 4-5 at home to Lindley Lib A. Despite that defeat the Golcar Lib A side move up a place to third. Meltham A remain in the second relegation place after losing 2-7 at home to Lockwood Con A and a 7-2 home win for Clayton West over Marsh United A saw the winners move up a place to 6th and the losers drop a place to 9th.

Elland WMC won the Division 2 derby match with neighbours C&BC by 6-3 to narrow the gap between the two teams to 7 points and more importantly stretched their advantage in the 2nd promotion place to 5 points over Thongsbridge A. The Elland derby match was a close affair with only three aggregate points (133-130) separating the two teams but the gap between the teams is now down to single figures.

Thongsbridge A had a disappointing 3-6 away defeat at lowly Denby Dale but that result coupled with 2-7 away defeats for Golcar Lib B (at Almondbury BC A) and Netherton Con A (at Broad Oak A) saw the Denby Dale side ease their path away from the bottom two. New Mill A could have eased their own concerns with a better outcome than a 3-6 home defeat to Shepley A but they hang on to 9th place for now.

Milnsbridge A won the mid-table encounter with Lindley BC A by 6-3 and that sees the two teams locked together on 41 points and nearer the 2nd promotion place than the 2nd relegation spot.
