Winter League
The deadline for new team applications to join the Huddersfield Winter League is Monday 5 July. Nine new team applications have already been received so we expect to be running three divisions with teams divided on merit and playing once a week from October to the end of January.
Last winter was the first running of the League which was voted a huge success by the 14 teams that played in the competition. The lockdowns prevented the season being completed but gave a taster for bowlers that they have lapped up and signed up for another season with new teams adding to the excitement about a new venture.
The Annual General Meeting is scheduled for 22 July starting at 10.00am when arrangements for the new season will be determined by the clubs.
Any four-man team looking for a weekly 'fix' of bowling can sign up now. It is a friendly well organised league that is going to be 50% bigger in number than last year.
