Dave Horsfall Cup - sponsor wins his own trophy

Ian Parr is the Division 5 Top Bowler for 2022-23 and this was marked with a presentation of a new trophy, the Dave Horsfall Cup, to Ian prior to the start of matches in the Winter Cup at Netherton on Thursday.

The cup has been donated to the League to commemorate the life of Dave Horsfall who sadly passed away in September 2021. Dave was a bowler at Milnsbridge BC where his two brothers-in-laws, Ian and Graham Parr, also play. Along with their sister, Dave's wife Hilary, Ian and Graham decided to remember Dave with this gesture and Hilary was on hand to very aptly present the first awarding of this trophy to her brother whose name will be the first to be engraved on this perpetual trophy marking the life of Dave Horsfall.
