The form book held good in the Team KO Quarter-Finals as three of the four higher-placed teams prevailed and we now have the full Semi-Finals listing to share. The only match going against the tide was Broad Oak A's 134-128 win over fellow Division 2 team, Meltham A. Whereas the Meltham team sit third in the table, the Broad Oak team are currently at the foot of the table with one win from four fixtures. That was the closest scoring match of the day as all three of the other ties went to big wins for the higher-placed teams.
The biggest win of the day went to Brockholes A as they overwhelmed Golcar Lib B 167-111 and with both teams defending unbeaten records, leaving them both in the top three in Division 3, it may send out a pointer to the chase for honours in that division as well.
The Golcar Lib A side fared better than their club colleagues when winning all 7 games against Springwood on the Dalton green. The only scratch team left in the competition, Longwood, saw off fellow Division 1 opponents, Lindley Lib A by only losing one of the seven games and easing through to the semis with a 144-112 win where they have to give 27 start to the Brockholes team.
