Club News

Members at Holmfirth have been busy during the lockdown to upgrade their facilities with the major development of a new toilet block.

The building of a new toilet block with disabled access, and facilities for people with disabilities, is now complete. Despite a difficult year with the Coronavirus pandemic several practical hurdles were also overcome in order to complete the work.

The Club now has a facility that Members and spectators, including wheelchair users, can access. To continue to provide a supportive and inclusive community activity, open and accessible to all, it was vital that this development was undertaken.

It was certainly a team effort and Holme Valley Parish Council and the National Lottery played a key part with their invaluable support. The project was managed by Club Members who also supplied labour and supported the local contractors selected to undertake the works. The works have been undertaken to a high standard ensuring it is sustainable for years to come, we thank everyone for their help and support.
