Team KO competition draw

Veterans League

The Veterans 10-Man League has two team knock-out competitions each year. The Team KO and the Sub-Team KO. The first being for the 32 teams that finished the previous season in the top 32 positions in the end of season tables. That means that all the teams that were in Divisions 1 and 2 plus the top 8 teams from Division 3. The remaining 28 teams go into the Sub-Team Knock-Out competition.

The format of the competition is almost identical to league matches comprised of four singles and three pairs games. The only difference being that it is the aggregate score that determines the winners with the game count only coming into play if the aggregate scores are level.

The draws for both competitions have been made so lets take a look at the Team KO draw today. Longwood have a remarkable record in this competition having appeared in 3 of the last 5 finals and four of the last 5 semi-finals. They have won it for the last two years but they will do well to make it a hat-trick of titles by retaining that title again as they have been drawn against the reigning Division 1 Champions, Lowerhouses. There was just five points between the two teams in the final Division 1 table last season so plenty to play for. One team that does deserve to win this title is Cowcliffe. They have lost in the last three finals, the last twice to Longwood and then in 2023 they were beaten by Golcar Lib A who they have been drawn against in this season's opening round.

The full draw and handicaps are all listed below with a usual Tuesday matchday being used for this opening round in the 2026 version of this hotly contested competition.
