Preview of the Division 2 fixtures scheduled for Tuesday 2 December at Cowcliffe

Only one team has an unbeaten record in Division 2 and that is Clayton West who head the table and this week take on fourth-placed Marsh United. On current form one would expect the leaders to push on and extend their unbeaten sequence of results. However they cannot afford to take any opponents too lightly with New Mill B only 3 points behind them. This Tuesday the New Mill side take on third-placed Lindley Lib A and defeat for the Lindley team would put them right out of the immediate promotion picture.

The meeting of the two Lowerhouses' teams comes with both teams in the bottom half of the table. It was always going to be a big ask for the B team being promoted to replace the Denby Dale side who declined promotion and so it has proved. The club's A team have underperformed against their start of season expectations and a big win over their clubmates could push them into the top half and send out the warning signals to the B team members.

That just leaves Meltham A to try and pick up a first win of the season when playing third from bottom Milnsbridge A.
