Review of the Division 2 results of matches played on Tuesday 4 November

Week 2 of the Division 2 season sees the two Lowerhouses teams dislodged from the two promotion positions after both failed to win their Tuesday fixtures. The A team did draw 4-4 with Lindley Lib A but that wasn't enough to save them from being overtaken by New Mill B and Clayton West.

Clayton West finished last season in 4th position and are determined to push for promotion and return to the top division they had been founder member of since it formation in 2021-22 until their relegation in 2024. This was as a result of reverting to 8 teams in each division cost them their top table spot. A second 6-2 win sees them move top with the only 100% win record in the division. This time the win came at the expense of Milnsbridge A who drop to 6th place.

New Mill B had a resounding 8-0 win over Meltham A and that pushes them into the promotion battle behind Clayton West with a better Aggregate For record than the top team should it be required anytime soon. Their claim to a second successive promotion cannot be ignored after this latest win over a team two divisions higher than them last season.

Lowerhouses A team remain very much in the promotion picture after drawing 4-4 with Lindley Lib A whilst the B team went down 2-6 to Marsh United who were collecting their first win of the season.
