Brockholes 'A' and Huddersfield Recreation Club 'A' are both promoted from Division 3 after big wins for them both on Monday. Brockholes whitewashed Paddock I&C 8-0 and the Recreation Club beat Rastrick 'B' 6-2 to confirm their top two placings and guaranteed promotion.

Those results coupled with third-placed Dalton being held to a 4-4 draw by Almondbury BC 'A' confirmed that outcome for both teams although the title is only guaranteed to follow to Brockholes if they collect 2 points from their final match of the season next week.

With Almondbury BC 'A' and Springwood 'B' released from the tension of a relegation battle after they were relegated last week, they both enjoyed good drawn matches against Dalton and Thorpe Green 'B' respectively. So with only the destination of the title still to be resolved most teams will be able to enjoy the final day of the league season next week.

There are now only two matches left to be played by the Division 4 teams with the only matter resolved to date is that Huddersfield Recreation Club 'B' have been relegated despite beating Marsh Lib 6-2 for a second win of the season.

Milnsbridge 'B' improved their chances of winning the division title after whitewashing Kirkheaton C&BC 8-0 and so overtake Lindley Lib 'B' to head the table by 3 points and 9 points ahead of third-placed Lowerhouses 'B'.

The 4-4 draw between Lindley Lib 'B' and Lowerhouses 'B' was a better result for the host team with the 6-point gap maintained. The opening game between the two teams provided what must be the longest singles match of the season as Michelle Booth and Galvin Evans took 1 hour 45 minutes to complete 33 ends and an eventual win for Michelle. The Card of the Day is alongside for your scrutiny. It shows that Galvin fought back from 4-12 down to lead 20-18 before faltering at the final end of an epic encounter.

A 6-2 win for Netherton Con 'A' over Paddock I&C 'B' went a long way to securing the Division 4 status of the Netherton side for next season. The gap between the two teams trying to avoid the second relegation place is now 15 points with the Netherton team needing 2 points from their final two fixtures to secure their Division 4 future.
