From the official Facebook page of the Blackpool Waterloo comes this update added earlier this week.
Following the previous update regarding a new party being interested in taking over the lease of the Waterloo they have since confirmed that they will not be proceeding any further.
Without an interested party taking over the lease, the green is in danger of being sold on for other purposes and that would see the end of the 'Wembley of Bowling'. Many were advocating that the BCGBA should have stepped in to save the venue for the future of bowling but there has never been a declared interest to play any part in its future.
