Ashley Tattersley: 2026 Champion of Champions
Bowling News
It has been a busy and fruitful few weeks in the Tattersley household with two major trophies being won by father and son. In mid-September Harley Tattersley became, at 19, the youngest ever winner of the Huddersfield Merit. Then on Saturday, Dad Ashley won the prestigious Champion of Champions title at Farnley Tyas. What a unique double, not to mention the fact that they are both members of the Subscription-winning Kirkheaton Con team.
It would have been quite something if they had both reached the final at Farnley Tyas, as both were kept apart in different halves of the draw, but that was one ask too much. In a boost for the oldies, the Veterans League Over-80's KO winner, Roger Lunn of Waterloo, progressed all the way to the final only to run out of steam after four rounds of bowling and Ashley ran out a deserved and popular winner. As well as collecting the title, trophy and prize money, Ashley added the biggest break prize to his collection with a 15-break in the final.

After all the action on the green there was the end of season Huddersfield League Presentation Event with all the beneficiaries listed below.
