All Tuesday fixtures are postponed

The cold spell has hit this week's Winter League fixtures with all three sets of Tuesday fixtures being postponed because of frozen greens.

So no Tuesday bowling at Cowcliffe (Division 2), Lockwood Con (Division 8) or Paddock I&C (Division 9). Add to this the Monday matches at Netherton Con (Division 10) with only the Primrose Hill Lib fixtures beating the weather to go ahead so far this week. No news yet of any new dates for the four sets of postponed fixtures and they will be announced in due course.

The focus will now turn to the Wednesday fixture programme as we await to see what the weather does tomorrow. There is an overnight forecast for tonight of temperatures of minus 3, some snow flurries in the morning but a thaw starting late Tuesday morning. Whether that is soon enough to save the Wednesday fixtures remains to be seen. Wednesday fixtures are scheduled in Division 1 (at Milnsbridge), Division 3 (Springwood) and Division 5 at Lindley Lib).
