All-Division 4 Sub-Team KO Semi-final line-up

The two neutral greens for Thursday's all-Division 4 semi-final matches in the Sub-Team KO have been announced. The all-Marsh tie between Marsh United B and Marsh Lib A will be played at Golcar C&BC. This will be a second meeting of the two teams in a week as they meet in League action today. The other half of the draw involves the defending Sub-Team KO Champions, Kirkheaton Con A who have a +9 handicap start over Ravensknowle Park.

Handicaps are based on the finishing positions of the teams at the end of the previous season which goes some way to explaining the differences. The Marsh Lib (+5) team came down from Division 3 last season and meet a Marsh United B (+9) side that finished mid-table in Division 4. The two teams met earlier in the season at the home of Marsh United B who narrowly won the match 5-4 (120-123 aggregate)

The Kirkheaton (+14) team came up from Division 5 as runners-up (although with the same points total as the Champions, Brockholes B). They have a 9-points handicap start over Ravensknowle Park (+5) who finished fourth in Division 4 last season. When these two teams met last month in a League match at Ravensknowle Park it was the visiting Kirkheaton team that came away as 9-0 winners.

With the Kirkheaton and Marsh Lib teams occupying the top two places in Division 4, it is difficult to look elsewhere when identifying the favourites to progress to the Final, which will be played at Broad Oak on Thursday 20 August.
