Veterans League
The Veterans League Management Committee will put forward two names to clubs at the next General Meeting recommending that they both be awarded Life Membership. It is traditional that retiring Presidents and League Officials are awarded this recognition for services rendered.
Alan Hirst has served as a Committee member for many years and was the League's President in 2018 and 2019.
Allan Dobson served as a Committee member from March 2018 to March 2020 and was Acting President from April to September 2020.
Only clubs can bestow the honour of Life Membership on anyone so both names will be put before the next General Meeting of clubs. It is a recognition of services provided in the name of the League. One name missing from that list is someone who also stood down in 2020 after serving on the Management Committee for 7 years and was League Secretary for 5 years. Why is that?
