Review of the fixtures in Divisions 3,4&5 played on Tuesday 6 May

In Division 3 every win is important and every point gained should be celebrated with only 12 points between all 12 teams. Every point won by any team scores heavily against their opponents. regardless of all that when the top three teams all lose then it will shake things up even more. That is what happened this Tuesday with the top three teams all away from home and all losing heavily including the leaders Hemplow A. I talked up their Tuesday opponents, Slaithwaite, as a dangerous neighbour and so it proved as the Slaithwaite team won by 8-1 which was their first win of the season. That defeat sent the Hemplow A team down three places to fourth.
Brockholes A and Holmfirth A were the other top three losing teams going down 2-7 at Lindley Lib B and Almondbury Lib respectively. Almondbury Lib are the new leaders after that 7-2 home win over Holmfirth A keeps them one point ahead of a cluster of three teams on the same 22 mark.
Thorpe Green had an impressive 8-1 home win over Marsh Lib A and leap four places to 8th. Two other strugglers, Paddock I&C and Linthwaite Hall, fought out a close match with the home team edging it 5-4 but both remain in trouble.
Slaithwaite jumped up four places to 6th leaving Lockwood Con B adrift at the bottom of the table. after they lost heavily 1-8 away at Springwood.

It was bad day for the Division 4 leaders, Huddersfield RUBC, as they lost 1-8 away at Skel Windmill and the teams swap 1st and 3rd places as a result. Marsh United B retain 2nd place and stay sat between their two rivals after a 5-4 away win at Primrose Hill Lib.
Kirkheaton C&BC beat Huddersfield Recreation Club 7-2 to retain fourth place but close in on the top four. It was a really bad day for Meltham B as they drop four places to bottom spot after a humbling 0-9 defeat away to David Brown Sports which sees them climb five places to 5th spot.
There were three 8-1 scores in the division along with the 9-0 as well. Thongsbridge B and Milnsbridge B being the other two 8-1 winners which just consolidated their mid-table positions but created heavy losses for Ravensknowle Park who drop from 5th to 10th and Netherton Con B who drop from 8th to 11th.

We have already mentioned the points difference in Division 3 which is only 12 points between all 12 teams but it is even tighter in Division 5 where there are only 11 points between the 12 teams with another change in the leader this week. Lindley BC B taking over at the top after a 6-3 home win over the previous leaders Dalton, who drop to second.
There was a big 8-1 home win for Brockholes B over Broad Oak B which lifted the Badgers off the foot of the table and up three places to be replaced at the bottom by Holmfirth B who lost at home 3-6 to Kirkheaton Con B. Greenhead Park lost for the first time this season going down 3-6 at Hemplow B which costs them two places. A 6-3 away win for Almondbury BC B over New Mill B which switches their positions in the table.
