The Yorkshire Men's Senior County Championship team played the final match in the Round Robin phase of this year's competition on Sunday and won both the home and away legs against South Yorkshire. A 455-403 aggregate win was sufficient to maintain the team's unbeaten record and qualification for the Knock-Out stage Semi-Finals to be played on Sunday 6 August.
This presents the passage through to the next phase and the chance to add a third successive title to the honours list but before then the Yorkshire side will play Wales in the semi-finals. Wales just pipped Derbyshire to the Section 1 title even though they lost to them 408-415 in the final round of matches making the two teams level on points but a better aggregate difference clinched the passage to the semi-finals for the Wales side.
