Yorkshire Ladies won 21 of the 24 games against Cheshire, including all 12 home leg games, with a 497-300 aggregate victory to top the Section 3 table and progress through to the next stage. That next stage is a straightforward knock-out competition involving the four section winners. The format is the same for the group stages, with home and away legs to be played with the aggregate score determining the winners.
The Huddersfield team's reward is a semi-final tie against their Warwick & Worcester counterparts on Sunday 16 August. Under the competition rules, counties are only permitted to pick a home green once each season. Those home greens will be announced two weeks before the date of the semi-finals along with the selected teams. The full Yorkshire result is below, along with the tables after all the group stage matches have been completed.
Dave Parkin speculates on the important issue of selecting the best green for the home team. Rules are that you must have 3 different venues for Groups
In 2025, they used New Mill twice & 2023, Golcar Lib where they lost the semi-final to Shropshire.
Â
I believe Meltham binned the Ladies for a while after the 1st team there folded & went to Linthwaite (Don’t quote me on that) but I think they may go there again.
Â
Shropshire Ladies only won by 8 v Wales to scrape through.
Men are taking N Midlands to Meltham in 2 weeks
Do you go there in the Semi-Finals or gamble that it would be better to go there in the final (if you win)
Â
I think they may go elsewhere for the Semi-Final, Lindley BC has to be on the agenda.
