The annual match between Yorkshire Ladies and Yorkshire Juniors for the Eddie Swaine Trophy went the way of the Ladies this year as they retained their hold on this trophy for another year. Yet is was a tight affair with six winners each before a 225 - 202 aggregate scoreline determined the outcome of the keenly contested competition.
Often seen as a warm-up match for both teams ahead of bigger prizes to be fought for later in the season, the bowlers in both teams haven't reached this level by playing friendly matches. Both teams were keen to win and bowlers want their results to be noticed by the team selectors for matches to come later in the season.
Brockholes BC was the venue on Saturday evening with the floodlights coming on later in the proceedings as there were no walkover scores and all bowlers were keen to support their team's efforts with a win. Match scores and team photographs below.
