Yorkshire Ladies followed their male counterparts in being eliminated from the BCGBA County Championship at the semi-final stage. Going down 444-432 to a Shropshire team that will now contest the final against the other semi-final winners, Warwick & Worcester.
The tie was really lost in the home leg where the visitors won 8 of the 12 matches with a 214-225 setback scoreline. The away side assembled a creditable -1 point aggregate total after winning 5 of the 12 legs and only losing three others to 20.
So in the space of two weeks the County has relinquished both the men's and ladies' national titles. The final between Shropshire and Warwick & Worcester will be held on Sunday 17 September.
