It is good to see Yorkshire CCGBA finally getting their act together in promptly passing on the results from their own competitions. The results from the Yorkshire Cup and the Hutchinson Cup were online within 24 hours of being played which is a massive improvement on last year when they didn't feature at all. Only 28 entries this year in the most prestigious of their competitions and that meant 22 of them playing a Qualifying Round last Saturday. There were some close scores in matches where the aggregate totals determine the winners. Notably these saw local teams Clayton West beat Crosland Moor B by 2 points (no scores available) and Almondbury Lib win by 3 points (214-211). There were also good wins for Outlane and Kirkheaton Cons with all four teams progressing through to Round 1 where they will be joined by Crosland Moor A and Thongsbridge A who both had byes through the Qualifying Round.
