Winter League Top Teams 2023

Winter League

The final collection of photographs from the Winter League's End-of-Season Party and Presentation Event with the team trophies being awarded to the teams that won the five division titles.

With the two new divisions added this season that meant we needed two more perpetual trophies to add to our prize cabinet. We were most fortunate to have two identical but linked trophies sponsored by Lindley Liberal Club and Michael Tracey. Michael donated a cup in memory of his late father, Leonard Tracey, who was a long-standing member of Lindley Bowling Club. That generous gesture was matched by Lindley Liberal Club when they sponsored the Arthur Tracey Cup and we were delighted to welcome 94-years old Arthur to present both trophies to the two winning captains.

The League is especially delighted to be associated with the Tracey family in this way with both brothers stalwarts for their club and are held in such high esteem in local bowling circles.

Lower Hopton were the recipients of the Division 1 trophy, the Founders Cup, for a second consecutive year although the gap was closed to a single point this year with promises of even more intense competition next season.
