Winter League Division 10 is FULL

We now have a full complement of 8 teams for the new Division 10 Mini-League. The latest four teams to make up the full numbers are Hemplow B, Rastrick, Thongsbridge and Lindley Lib E. Add to those four teams the four that had previously been reported of Skel Windmill, Brockholes D, Outlane B and Lindley Lib D providing the full membership of the 7-Week Mini-League.

That makes a massive influx of 17 new teams to the League this season. Nine of them joining for the full 14-week 2025-26 season and 8 more trying out the 7-week taster session. We now have ten divisions and 80 teams in the League which means that 320 bowlers are competing every week in the competition. The Division 10 fixture programme has still to be added to Bowlsnet but will start life on Monday 27 October and conclude 7 weeks later on Monday 8 December with all matches played at Lindley Liberal Club with an 11.00am start time each week.

The listing of registered bowlers for most of those 8 teams has now been received and added to Bowlsnet. New bowlers can be added at any time throughout the short season as long as they haven't already played for any team in the other divisions this season. Those team fixtures will then be added. Most of the new teams have already received their Bowlsnet access usernames and passwords and the remainder will get them today.

The opening day of the 2025-26 season is on Monday at Primrose Hill Lib which is the venue for the Division 4 opening programme. Tomorrow's preview posting will look at the chances of all the eight teams in Division 4 and pick a team to win the Division 4 title and one to drop down to Division 5. I never learn!
