2001: Yorkshire v Lancashire
A new competition gets off the ground 21 years ago with the introduction of the Carlsberg-Tetley sponsored 'War of the Roses'. Selected 12-man teams from Yorkshire and Lancashire going head to head in 12 singles matches for the new trophy.
The competition was staged at the Leyland Fox Lane Sports Club where both teams won 6 of the 12 games but a 215 - 196 aggregate scoreline gave Yorkshire the honours and trophy. All the details and game scores are listed below.
