Two KO records broken

Winter League

It has been a great year for our two Knock-Out competitions with a record number of entries in each one. The Pairs KO is only in it's second year with a massive 93 pairs (186 bowlers) playing in it this year. Last season was the first time that it had been competed for with 81 entries (162 bowlers) received.

The Winter Cup is now in its 5th year with a total of 162 entries received this season surpassing last year's record of 154 entries. The increase in entries shouldn't be a surprise as the number of teams in the League continues to increase year-on-year. To add to that raft of figures below, I have divided the number of entries each year by the number of teams in the League that season. This gives a more indicative display of the numbers year-on-year compared with the increase in teams in the League.

Pairs KO Final 2026 Total entries 93 pairs. Average number of entries per team (93 / 80) = 1.16 (or 2.32 bowlers per league team).

2025 Total entries 81 pairs Average number of entries per team (81 / 64) = 1.26 (or 2.52 bowlers per league team)
