Winter League

The Winter League has been very fortunate over its formative years in attracting sponsorship for the number of trophies we could offer teams and individuals in marking milestone achievements by winning a division or top bowler title.

Right from day one of the League's existence when we launched a Founders Fund which attracted sponsorship from individuals of over £500 which enabled the League to award a great set of initial trophies to the winners of the first full season of competition.

That has been followed up each year by individuals and clubs funding new trophies to keep pace with the expansion of the League. This season we have two new divisions in Divisions 9 and 10 which means we are now looking for four new trophies to award our end-of-season winners.

Many of our trophies are named after individuals who have contributed to local bowling in general. Some are named after family members that people wanted to mark their passing. Others at the other extreme to mark the arrival in this world of new family members. Whatever the reason, we have been very grateful for the generosity shown on each occasion.

If you would like to add a trophy to our collection and at the same time commemorate the contribution to bowling of an individual or even to just mark an individual's contribution to your life then we would be delighted to hear from you. Sponsorship is a two-way happening. The League benefits from your support and individuals benefit from the annual reminder to many of someone special to them.
