A preview of the Division 3 matches to be played at Thorpe Green on Monday 17 January
Thorpe Green 'C' and Lindley BC are making the Division 3 title race into a two-horse race with an 8-point gap and a game in hand over 3rd placed Brockholes. The two prime contenders have straightforward looking fixtures the week with the leaders, Thorpe Green 'C', on a 10-match unbeaten run and this week meet bottom-of-the-table Springwood 'B'. The Lindley side takes on the Rastrick B' team who returned to winning ways last week after a 5-match run without a win.
Brockholes promotion hopes had a major setback last week when they lost 2-6 to Rastrick 'B' and they hope to address that falter when taking on the 'B' side from the Huddersfield Recreation Club this Monday. The final fixture this Monday is between Dalton and Milnsbridge 'B' with Dalton going 6 matches without defeat - 3 wins and 3 draws - but that still only leaves them 4 points ahead of this week's rivals.
As usual, the catering team will be putting a grand selection of solids and liquids together for the delight of the anticipated crowd flocking once more to Thorpe Green on a Monday from 12noon. Be there or be square!
